Davos is situated in nearly 1,560
metres above the sea level, in the canton Grison in Switzerland.
This municipality is the home of nearly 11.000 inhabitants and is the highest situated
town in Switzerland and Europe. A special quality is the, for this region unusual
architecture of the edifices in the flat roof style,
which leads back to the Sanatorien era. In 1924 Davos was getting world-wide famous
through Thomas Mann with his novel "Der Zauberberg". |
